The p3105/nms9100 has a special video card, the ati small wonder.
It can drive a cga monitor and a hercules monitor. It also can
emulate cga on the hercules monitor using grayscales, and it can
emulate hercules on a cga monitor. There are dip switches on the
card to choose the setting. sometimes the dips are only reachable
when you open up the machine, and sometimes they are accessible
at the rear, above the monitor connectors.

If you have a cga monitor the switch settings are
1 open
2 closed
3 closed
4 open

If you want hercules on a hercules monitor the switch settings are
1 closed
2 open
3 closed
4 open

If you want cga emulation on a hercules monitor the switch settings are
1 open
2 open
3 closed
4 open

If the switch bank has 8 positions, the four others always are
5 open
6 closed
7 closed
8 closed

Open is to the left if you are behind the machine and the switches
are above the monitor connector. if the switches are inside, open
is marked on them.

With the small wonder card goes the program ms.com. It sets the
video mode. it can switch from cgs emulation to hercules and back,
and it can set the card to 80 or 132 columns. If you start the
program a menu will appear explaining the choices.
